Parry Sound Insurance Brokers Ltd., was born out of the merger of two offices as of February 1997. On April 4, 1996 Abscohood Insurance purchased Wayne Miner Insurance. Abscohood has been in business since 1979 and Wayne Miner Insurance longer. From our beginning in Parry Sound we have enjoyed a steady growth over the years and have become recognized as one of the leading brokerages in the area. We have earned our reputation for professionalism due to the special attention given to the needs and requirements of our clients.

We act in the capacity of an intermediary between the consumer (the buyer of insurance) and the insurer(insurance company accepting the risk), and as a result earn a commission payable by the insurer for providing this service between the buyer an seller.

We specialize in providing personal and commercial lines of property and casualty insurance, group and individual health coverage’s and individual life insurance are secondary.
