The cottage on Clear Lake Farm is situated in the Almaguin Highlands, Ontario, approximately 3 hours north of Toronto. The Almaguin Highlands are well known for their beautiful lakes surrounded by endless woods.

Our farm is about 220 acres with nearly a kilometer of lakeshore. The cottage is right next to the lake. It is a tastefully and stylishly renovated, almost one century old farmhouse which can be rented all year long. There is plenty of room for all the family and friends with its five charming bedrooms, three bathrooms, dining room, large living room, and the well equipped kitchen.

The appropriately named Clear Lake is just a two minutes walk from the cottage. Especially after you have been sunbathing on the private sandy beach, the clear and refreshing water invites you to swim and snorkel. Your kid's favorite place will soon be the floating dock, a short swim from shore. There is no through traffic for boats, so you can enjoy the sunny days in peace.

You might see beavers, racoons and deer, observe chipmunks and turtles. Don't be surprised if you run into a fox, a groundhog, or even a moose.

You can explore the surroundings in a very special way with our Icelandic horses. Riding a tölting Icelandic is a remarkable experience. Non-riders will also enjoy the peaceful view of the small herd.

Well marked trails lead you through the adjacent forests, through meadows and along the lake. Stop at the picturesque resting places along the trails and breathe in the peace and simplicity of nature.

Clear Lake Farm and its surroundings offer you not only pure relaxation, but also a variety of activities for every season: swimming, fishing, horseback riding, guided canoe tours in Algonquin Provincial Park (which only allows canoes for transportation), golf, cycling, hiking, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobile tours, dogsledding, rafting on the Ottawa or the Magnetawan River, canoe tours on the Magnetawan River, kayaking . . . and lots of interesting and attractive destinations for day trips.
